Emerald van ’t Ruytershof dominated the international top-level showjumping scene for years. He claimed victories in team competitions, 5* Grands Prix and took part in the Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro. He also makes his mark as a progenitor. He holds 9^th place in the WBFSH sire ranking, thanks to illustrious showjumpers such as Qalista DN (winner of the 2025 World Cup class in Mechelen), Ping Pong van de Lentamel (winner of the 5* GP in Riesenbeck), 5* GP winner Electrique van het Cauterhof Z and Imerald van ’t Voorhof (winner of the 5* GP in Calgary). 

His granddam, Fin Fleur, produced, among others, Hannibal, who performed at 1m45 level. With Fin Fleur’s dam, MoM’s Finja (alias Censcha), as one of the strong links in the pedigree, Empire Z possesses a particularly valuable damline. Of MoM’s Finja first ten offspring, six jumped at 1m60 level or higher, among them H5 Quintol (multiple 5* GP winner and successful participant in the Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro), Chabento (winner of the Nations Cup in Linz-Ebelsberg and 2^nd in the World Cup in Warsaw), Urus 2 (3^rd in the World Cup in Bromont). The family continues to perform at the highest level, highlighted by Chad Blue PS, a nephew of this foal's dam, who recently helped secure victory for the USA in the prestigious Dublin Nations Cup with two impeccable clear rounds.
