CIRO VD BERGHOEVE Z (ET)

ABOUT

His sire, Cornet Obolensky (ex-Windows van het Costersveld), jumped at international Grand Prix level himself and contributed to several team gold medals, including in Rome and Barcelona. He dominantly passes on his exceptional showjumping qualities to his offspring. Just think of showjumping stars such as Casual DV Z, Esteban de Hus, Corbie V.V., Pallieter VD N.Ranch, Millfield Colette, Fave d’Authuit and Arqana de Riverland. It is certainly no coincidence that he leads the most recent WBFSH sire ranking.

Through his dam Akira, Ciro carries the Holstein performance blood of lineage 890. She is a half-sister to top progenitor Casall (with whom Rolf-Göran Bengtsson performed at the very highest level for years), CCS Uriko (who jumps at 5* 1m60 level, under the saddle of Jorge Matte Capdevila), the approved stallion Clarence C (who was crowned reserve champion of the stallion approval in Neumünster in 2005) and Concordia (who, in turn, produced Kenzo Quality Z and Naly Quality, two performers from the 1m60 circuit). This is also the lineage of, among others, Crocodile Dandy (Alison Firestone), Conally (Markus Renzel), Frimella (Alois Pollmann-Schweckhorst) and Caspar, alias Eurocommerce Berlin, who won two team gold medals at the World Championship in Aachen (2006) and the European Championship in Mannheim (2007). What an impressive lineage!
