DANDY VD BISSCHOP MOLENEED (ET)

ABOUT

Her sire, Ube VD Bisschop, is a son of the well-breeding stallion Comme d’Api VD Hacienda Z out of In Love JW van de Moerhoeve. In Love, in turn, is a daughter of Ischgl de Muze, who is known as the dam of showjumping stars such as Mumbai van de Moerhoeve, Opium JW van de Moerhoeve TN and Olleke Bolle JW VD Moerhoeve. Eureka van ’t Roosakker, the dam of Ischgl, won several 5* classes and goes back to the damline of, among others, Ta Belle van Sombeke. Ube VD Bisschop was a finalist in the stallion competition as both a four- and five-year-old, each time under the saddle of Ben De Craene.

This auction foal belongs to one of the Olympic BWP damlines. We start with Dandy’s dam, Gentle van Equinta. In partnership with Glenn Praet, she performed at 1m45 level. As a broodmare she produced the 1m40 level showjumper Muscat d’Asschaut. Gentle van Equinta’s dam is the legendary Candy, winner of the prestigious 5* GP of Calgary. She possessed exceptional scope and was always determined to give it her all in the arena. She produced several five-star showjumping stars, including Important de Muze, Gran Canyon van HD and Handy van HD. Further down the damline, we find the Olympic horses Big Ben (showjumping) and Britt (eventing), and numerous other top performers, such as Optiebeurs Concern, Millar and Dixson. A lineage from which horses for top-level sport are born, generation after generation.
