DARIO VD BISSCHOP (ICSI)

ABOUT

The sire of this colt is Balou du Reventon, alias Cornet’s Balou, with whom Darragh Kenny, Brian Moggre and Harry Charles were particularly successful in 5* Grand Prix and Nations Cup competitions.  He won a total of over 2,2 million euros in prize money. He is highly sought after for his unique canter, big heart, scope and mentality. Meanwhile, several of his offspring are already jumping at the very highest level.

His dam, Paola VD Bisschop, was a finalist at the Belgian Championship in Gesves as a four-year-old. Subsequently, she competed successfully in international young horse classes up to 1m45 level. One her oldest offspring, Uzma VD Bisschop, finished 13th in the final of the Belgian Championship for 5-year-olds in Gesves last year. Paola is a half-sister to several international showjumpers, including Quando VD Bisschop and the approved stallion Cello VDP Bisschop Z. Their granddam, Josephine VD Bisschop, jumped at 1m45 level and produced, among others, Oxana VD Bisschop (born in 2014), with whom Niklaus Rutschi won more than 100.000 euros in prize money. Josephine’s granddam is none other than Usha van ’t Roosakker and that speaks volumes.
