A son of 5* GP and Nations Cup winner Dexter de Kerglenn, crossed with the scope and winning mentality of the Qerly Chin lineage
ABOUT
His sire, Dexter de Kerglenn, has a top pedigree: his sire is the Olympic progenitor and multiple 5* GP winner Mylord Carthago; his dam and granddam both competed at 1m55 level. Multiple 5* GP winner Quickly de Kreisker is also part of this outstanding damline. In partnership with Jeanne Sadran, Dexter de Kerglenn has been a fixture in the international five-star circuit for several years. The duo won, among others, the 5* GP of Paris and the Nations Cup in Abu Dhabi. Dexter has already won almost 900.000 euros in prize money.
Through his granddam, Merlot di Fer, Don Dorado Desau is part of the world-famous and highly coveted BWP damline 34, the lineage of Qerly Chin. Merlot di Fer’s dam, Ermita di Fer, produced two horses that have performed at 1m45 level in the United States, namely Meursault di Fer and Ortega di Fer. Ermita’s dam is none other than Ferly de Muze (alias Sea Coast Ferly), a Qerly Chin granddaughter who delivered outstanding performances in the 5* circuit for years under the saddle of Gudrun Patteet. Ferly, in turn, is the dam of, among others, Brunello di Fer, with whom Hanne Mertens successfully jumped at 1m50 to 1m60 level.
